What the hell?

Really liked the game,but it quits responding.
Is it not for IPad?
Kept playing and got a better runner and it got worse. I know there is a learning curve but come on.
Please advise if I am missing a key element to this app.
The runner responds about every 12th run,are you kidding me?
It would be a great game if the runner actually responded
